You might remember Sara and Cameron from their engagement session last year.  They were a great couple to work with and we had a blast on their wedding day.

I asked Sara to give me a little history of their relationship and here’s what she said.  “Cameron and I were actually neighbors in high school. (We grew up in a very small town so everyone knows everything) Cameron was my high school crush but wouldn’t consider dating me because we were three years apart. I was a freshman and he was a senior kind of thing. One summer night I had a friend stay the night and so did he. While chatting online we decided to go skinny dipping in my pool. Well needless to say my parents caught us and he ended up running through the back yards butt naked to his house. After that we never really talked because he started dating a girl in his grade who ended up going to the same college as he did. After he graduated he moved to Cincinnati where he worked. I had moved out to California and tried to make it out there but realized I missed my family and friends. Seven years later of not talking or seeing each other we reconnected on facebook while he was in the UK for work. Three months of talking online and on the phone made us realize how much we really had in common. I decided to take a chance I moved back to Ohio. On my way back home I stopped in Cincinnati and we went on our first date (August 21, 2008) We have been together ever since. That is our fairy tale love story. Well at least I think it is :)”

Jennifer had a vision of what she wanted for her wedding day.  It’s sort of a southern shabby chic thing I think.  She had a bouquet of buttons.

“I have always loved buttons!!! I collect them in clear mason jars. naturally when I was planning my wedding I wanted to include them somehow. It all began with an idea then it became something so personal. Lance got some old buttons from his Dad that used to be his grandmothers. I comebined those along with some I already had. Then, Lance and I love to shop for antiques..soo we shopped for the rest together. The butterfly pin is his Grandmother, Nellie-Mae’s and the ring is my Grandmother Inez’s.  All together it is now a very personal family keepsake. :-)”
And that’s just the start.  A very uniquely designed wedding and reception.  Take a look…

The story of Erica and Jake, in Erica’s words; “We were friends for a few years before we ever started dating. He played on a softball team with my sister.  Finally, as luck would have it, we both found ourselves available at the same time, started spending more time together and fell in love! Yankee girl meets good old southern boy! We clicked instantly when we met, it just took about 3 years to figure out exactly what that meant. once we figured it out, it all made perfect sense 🙂

It taught us that the best friend is one with which you can fall in love without false pretense. Likewise, the best lover is one with which you have the strong foundation of friendship.”

We’re just happy the stumbled across Bluff Mountain Inn on the internet.  We were happy to meet this great couple.  So laid back and fun loving.  We with them all the best, and from what I understand they’re talking about coming back for an anniversary visit!
