The story of Erica and Jake, in Erica’s words; “We were friends for a few years before we ever started dating. He played on a softball team with my sister.  Finally, as luck would have it, we both found ourselves available at the same time, started spending more time together and fell in love! Yankee girl meets good old southern boy! We clicked instantly when we met, it just took about 3 years to figure out exactly what that meant. once we figured it out, it all made perfect sense 🙂

It taught us that the best friend is one with which you can fall in love without false pretense. Likewise, the best lover is one with which you have the strong foundation of friendship.”

We’re just happy the stumbled across Bluff Mountain Inn on the internet.  We were happy to meet this great couple.  So laid back and fun loving.  We with them all the best, and from what I understand they’re talking about coming back for an anniversary visit!

  • Erica Hale - Rick,
I was watching this slide show again (as I do from time to time). Unfortunately, the 1st anniversary trip won’t happen. This is because, fortunately, we are expecting a son on April 10th! We are so excited and often speak about our wedding day and how we would not have changed one single thing about it, including coming to Bluff Mountain Inn!

Just in case you’re a friend of theirs… SURPRISE!!!

What a great couple from Nashville!  We had such a nice time working with these folks and wish them the very best.  Ralph had been to Bluff Mountain Inn before to attend the wedding of his dear friends, Sereadia and James on 1/1/11.  So since their friends were married here, they considered going somewhere else for their wedding just to be different.  But what they wound up with was a totally different look and experience.  They eloped and had just a beautiful, intimate ceremony and private dinner on the porch, and two wonderful relaxed days in the mountains as newlyweds.

They say the photography that we do is what brought them here.  What a great compliment!  And what a pleasure to watch them as they got a sneak preview of their wedding video on our front porch yesterday via the ipad!  (We love our ipad!)

They must have liked it here because I understand they’re getting a place up here in Gatlinburg!  Please stop by and see us when you’re in the neighborhood.
