When I got the call from Danae’s Mom asking if we were available for a Senior Photo Session I knew this was going to be great fun.
Several months ago as I was walking a trail in the Smokies I kept noticing these huge boulders in the river. Fishermen were standing on quite a few of them, and all I could think about was how cool it would be to photograph a beautiful dancer on those rocks. This was my chance!
Caryn and Danae drove down from central Michigan just for this session, which kinda makes you feel special already. Ok, they were really coming for the mountain shots, but they did choose me to do them. ; )
We love shooting artistic people and capturing them using their talents in unique places and situations. Dancers on the rocks. I love it.
This place is beautiful in the summer with all the trees and flowers around, but we needed these photos for a time sensitive publication, and our model didn’t mind getting a little cold. She was a real trooper and I think we came up with some really beautiful and special images. I hope you think so too!
We’re always looking for Senior Models to photograph. This is a truly special time in your life and what better way to remember how you look and who you are. Memories for years to come.
It was a little chilly outdoors. After all it’s the middle of February, but the sun was shining and the sky was blue and it was the perfect day for a Winter Mountain Wedding. There were even a few snow flurries which made it just that much better.
Jen and Josh are a couple from Knoxville who have actually been married for ten years. They were married at the city hall in New Orleans, but on this Saturday in February, ten years later, they had a proper wedding or vow renewal or celebration. Whatever you’d like to call it, a good time was had by all.
Jen, a former member of the U.S. Coast Guard, was a real trooper for her bridal portraits. She even considered getting a little adventurous on the swing shots but decided not to try any tricks in her wedding dress. We’ll save those for the trapeze shoot…
You learn a lot about a couple when they write their own vows and read them to each other at the ceremony. Even though the bride wrote her’s on the way to the ceremony, they were sweet and heartfelt. This couple has shared a lot of love for the past 10 years. That’s pretty evident just watching them together. Here’s to the next ten, and the next ten, and on and on…
Cheers to the happy couple. Thanks for allowing us to share this unique event.
Curtis says… “We met when I was 15 and she was 16. We were together for 5 years. After that we split up for a year and a half and eventually reconnected and realized we never wanted to spend another second apart . Since that its been perfect and i proposed at the first place we ever met. That’s pretty much the love story that is our life. If there is any other questions you can call and i would be glad to tell our story again and again. Thank you for starting the next chapter in our life. The picture on fb looks absolutely amazing!!!!!”
Thanks Curtis and Meghan for asking us to photograph your engagement session. We hope you have a wonderful wedding in October and a beautiful life together! Wedding Photography and Engagement Sessions are some of our favorite ways to shoot people! More images from this session available on Facebook.
Even the winter months can provide a great opportunity to Elope to the Mountains. Sumer, James and just a few family members came to Bluff Mountain Inn in Pigeon Forge, TN to do just that.
They were married in the country chapel and the weather cooperated with us enough to shoot most of their bridal portraits and wedding photos outdoors! We were happy to have this great couple here for their wedding day and wish them the very best in their new life together.
