As a photographic artist I can tell you that a great compliment to our work is knowing our clients have large prints on their walls at home. It’s not only a compliment to our work, but it reflects the relationship of a couple at one point in time that they are proud of and want to share with anyone who visits their home or office. These are pieces of art that will be treasured by future generations!
While a 4×6 print might look just fine on a refrigerator, it’s the large prints that make an impression.
Here’s a image taken at Beth and Pete’s Wedding last year.
The above image is a 16×20 canvas print. It’s hanging above a large chair for this example just to give you some sort of reference on size.
A major factor you should consider when ordering art pieces of any kind is the size of the space you have available. In this case there was wall space above the chair where that print just seems to fit.
Now here (above) is an example of a 20×30 inch canvas print from Cheryl and Craig’s wedding in Key Largo. The sofa in this shot is a 72″ wide big old overstuffed kind of sofa, and even though a 20×30 is a fairly large print, it seems small on this particular wall. But take a look below…
Here’s what your image would look like as a 30×40 inch canvas. Pretty impressive, huh?
If you’re attending a wedding with your family you have the unique opportunity of having creative images taken by a professional photographer without having to bear the expense of hiring the photographer. The bride and groom have done that for you!
I just thought this might be a helpful resource for when you’re planning to use art to decorate your own personal space. Find the space in your house, get some dimensions, pick out a great image and let’s talk about how your can use your own personal images as works of art to create that WOW factor! We are always happy to consult or make suggestions.
Not much wow from an 8×10…
