Thanks to Mikey, Beth and Charlotte for a fun afternoon. Let’s try again at 3 just for kicks.
Here are a few photos from Kylie and Greg’s wedding in the mountains. This great couple met in London through some mutual friends.
When I asked Greg if there was anything he wanted me to say about them on the blog, he said “She was God sent” and that she rescued him. Funny, she said basically the same thing…
Thanks to Kylie and Greg and their families for finding us. We had a great time hosting your wedding and reception, and I had a blast taking the photos. It was great that couple wanted all their wedding photos done prior to the ceremony. It made for a relaxed shooting schedule, and when the ceremony was over we only had a couple of group shots and they were off the the reception with all their guests.
Cheers!
We had a GREAT time at Bluff Mountain & would recommend it highly to ANYONE!! We LOVE the pictures!!!
Thank you so much Rhonda & Rik!!!
*Kisses*
So I got a call just about a week ago from Ladawana asking if I could take some wedding photos. She had seen this blog and some creek shots in particular (makes you feel good, you know?). She had already made her wedding plans at another location, but felt like she wanted these special shots. And this afternoon we had a blast taking these photos.
The scoop on this couple is that they’ve known each other since the 4th grade. They dated when they were 14 but went their separate ways. Then just a couple of years ago they were able to reconnect on myspace. Go figure…
above.. my personal favorite. the light was just right at the creek today. and this couple needed no coaching. can you tell they get along?
Congratulations to this lovely couple. We thank you for finding us, and wish you the very best in the years to come.

In March of 1972 a country singer named Donna Fargo released a song entitled the Happiest Girl in the Whole USA. It was written in the voice of a newlywed girl singing to her husband, and if I’ve ever seen that song come to life it was this weekend. And it wasn’t one-sided in the least.
Lori and Joshua met when Lori was leaving a music club (listening to a bluegrass band) and she tripped coming down the steps. Joshua caught her, and I’ll say that was one catch he’ll never forget.
These folks were laughing and smiling all day. What a great group of folks…
This couple decided they would meet and take photos before the ceremony. I can’t tell you how much this moment can add to the excitement of the day. It’s not the traditional way of doing things, but it’s the couple’s choice. And we, as photographers, can capture the moment they first see each other… the look on their faces… the joy and emotion of their friends who share the moment.
It never hurts to have a nice little antique purple truck in the parking lot…
Josh is a musician and Lori is a music lover… pretty good combination imo. Congratulations and best wishes to this great couple.
BUT WAIT. Not only did we have a great couple and a beautiful wedding, we also learned how you deal with not having pierced ears but wanting to wear pierced earrings to your wedding.
First you start with a professional ear piercing kit (approved by the surgeon general, I’m sure..)
Then you make sure you have the proper chemicals which will not only kill the germs but works great as an anesthetic.
Then you solicit the assistance of a highly trained professional.
Maybe two…
Ouch. (But she swears it didn’t hurt. See what I mean about the anesthetic???)
Voila… I’m not sure I personally recommend this particular method, but hey… I’m just here to document the day.
What a great couple. You can tell these two will have an awesome life together.
These pics are awesome! Sooooooo funny!
