How/where did you meet?
Chris and I met at our college, Lincoln Christian University, January of 2012 during an intensive week (one class for 5 days 8-4 every day) in the cafeteria during lunch one day. We did not start dating until October 26, 2012
How long have you been together?
We have been together 9 months on July 26.
Our first meeting of each other (January 2012) actually resulted in a four month bet for $5 where I could not eat any ice cream or frozen deserts. We now enjoy making bets with each other over almost anything. On our first date, Chris and I went on a walk together around our college campus. Chris tried to kiss me and I denied him. The rest of the night was spent teasing him about it.
The style of your dress?
The style of my dress is simple but elegant. It is a one shoulder strap with pearls and beading along the top that is very fitted. The bottom is plain white fabric and at the bottom has lace. It flows out from the top, not straight or poofed out. I love my dress, it is one of a kind. I took the top half from my Aunt’s wedding dress and the bottom from my mom’s wedding dress and morphed them together. I am a very sentimental person, so being able to wear my moms and aunts dresses is very cool to me. (I can send a picture at my next fitting on September 28). My shoes will be yellow converse that match my grooms.
What will your groom wear?
Charcoal gray dress pants, matching charcoal gray vest, white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a watch, a cornflower blue tie, and yellow Converse.
What about your bridesmaids?
There will be 2 bridesmaids (2 of my best friends from my hometown) and 2 groomsmen (Chris’s 2 brothers). The girls will wear short dresses whatever style they wish but the same cornflower blue color. The boys will wear charcoal gray dress pants, a white dress shirt with the sleeves rolled up, a watch, and the same cornflower blue tie as Chris.
What do you do together in your personal time?
We enjoy watching movies, various TV shows, like the Newlywed Game (we like to play along and see how well we would do on the show), playing board games, mini golfing, and playing with our dog Bosco.
Congratulations to Sheldon and Christopher and their wonderful family and friends. We really enjoyed working with you! Thank you for choosing RIK Photography as your Smoky Mountain Wedding Photographers.
