It’s hard for me to believe it’s July already.  June was just a crazy month for us here.  And to all our faithful Blog followers, I apologize for getting a little behind on the posts here.

These days with Facebook being so popular it seems like we need to post there, and then tweet a time or two, and get the images ready for Pictage and get albums together…  wow.  I’m getting tired already!

So here are a couple of highlights from June that missed the blog post.

Erica and Chris were a great couple to work with.  We really enjoyed their carefree, fun attitude through the day.  You can see more images from this wedding on the Bluff Mountain Inn Facebook page, along with a great slideshow!

This is the second time we’ve had the chance to photograph this great family, or part of them.  Three years ago we got a call from Asgar saying they were having a family reunion and wanted to get a shot of the entire family.  There were 75 of them!  So we worked it out and they all got images they could share and keep to remember the occasion.

Well, this year Asgar came back with his Mother’s side of the family!  Three generations of beautiful, smiling people.  Just a great experience.

There are more photos from this shoot on the RIK Photography Facebook page.

Another really fun session we did was with Ashley and her kids.  Ashley and I worked together for years at the Louise Mandrell Theater in Pigeon Forge, and she now performs with Voice of Mercy as well as being a full time mom to these beautiful kids.  And I thought I was tired…

We also recently did a photo shoot with Voice of Mercy.  I can’t believe that’s not on the blog, but it was a great session.  Here are a couple of highlights from that shoot.

Chad and Gina were a fun couple to work with.  We really enjoyed having them here and wish the all the best in their new life together.

Bluff Mountainn Inn is the ideal destination for your all inclusive wedding plans.  Nature provides a beautiful backdrop for portraits of the bride and groom, family and friends.  It’s a hidden gem in the Great Smoky Mountains.  Located at the base of Bluff Mountain, the inn is easily accessible from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg, Sevierville and all the surrounding cities.  Most of the clients at Bluff Mountain Inn come from far away, and because of the beauty of the mountains and the location that’s central to a large percentage of the US population, clients combine their wedding plans with their family reunion or vacation to make it a wonderful event.

With 5 acres of private property there are lots of options for beautiful mountain weddings and receptions.  Take a look at BluffMountainInn.info to see packages and lots more information.

We were happy to work with Megan, Brent and all their guests last weekend.  These guys have been planning this wedding for quite a while, and it was great to see all the plans come together.

In Australia musicians are known as musos.  And I recently had the opportunity to work with some of the best in South Australia at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival in the Cabaret Theater theater there.

While in town I figured I’d take the opportunity to photograph a couple of these musos doing what they do, but in a different environment.  Much thanks to CJ and James for coming over early and allowing me to work with them artistically in a different situation.  These shots were taken around the Festival Theater, and  I think we came up with a couple of keepers!  You might even see a few others if you like us on Face Book!
